Kolbe's Korner Preschool
This very fun class is designed as a shared experience between parents and their two year old children. It meets once a week for 2 hours on either Tuesday or Wednesday mornings. It offers an excellent introduction for your child to preschool. Activities include open free play time where your child can choose from a variety of activities such as play dough, art experiences, blocks, trucks, trains, puzzles, matching games, play house and babies and exploration of the science sensory table. These activities are chosen to stimulate curiosity and learning while at the same time, are entirely age appropriate and always fun. In addition to open free play, there is also story time, outdoor play and music time, and all are ingredients that make for a fast moving, fun-filled day that you and your child with thoroughly enjoy.
Parent discussion is another integral part of the class. Parents in this class have the opportunity to hear about and discuss topics of interest pertinent to this stage of development. By June, many friendsips have been formed by the parents and our goal is that the children leave this class ready to begin preschool.
The class is taught by our preschool director and veteran teacher, Paula Kruer. During the span of her career, she has worked with thousands of two-year-olds and their parents.
