  • Homeless Breakfast Ministry - Each month, the Homeless Breakfast ministry gathers to prepare and serve food to the homeless. Many friendships have grown out of the experience of sharing in this form of care for God's people. For more information contact Sally Holland email: whenmartymetsally@yahoo.com or phone: 805-492-4879. Click here for our latest newsletter.
  • Habitat for Humanity - Our mission is to offer volunteer workdays and raise funds to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County. Our goal is to build decent, safe and affordable homes to raise our Habitat families. In just one generation of owning a home, they are getting better jobs, pursuing higher education, planning for their future and giving back to their communities. For more information, contact Frank Blum at frankscotty@msn.com or 805-241-7084.
  • Project Response - Four times a year parishioners of St. Max are invited to contibute a variety of items needed by those in need. The items collected are picked up by as many as 21 local charities and distributed to those in need. Contact Bianca Becerra b.becerra321@gmail.com
  • Respect Life - Our Respect Life Ministry seeks to have each parishoner informed and become an active ambassador for the pro-life message and the sanctity of life. The Pope, our faith and the Bible are explicit that God creates all life and that life begins at conception and ends at a natural death. For information contact Carol Slavin at lifeministries@stmaxchurch.org
  • St. Michael's Parish - This important ministry has identified a variety of ways that we can be of assistance to the members of St. Michael's, our sister parish. We currently provide turkeys at Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts to more than 550 children at Christmas as well as donations of food and school supplies throughout the year. Contact the Pastoral Center for more information.
  • St. Vincent de Paul Society - The St. Vincent de Paul Society provides both financial and material support for individuals and families experiencing difficult times. Teams from our parish make personal visits to assess needs, make referrals and provide immediate assistance in some cases. Our mission, inspired by Blessed Frederic Ozanam and our Patron, St. Vincent dePaul, is an organization where women and men grow spiritually by offering person-to-person assistance to those in need.
