  • Altar Servers - Altar servers perform various functions to assist the Priest and Deacons with the preparation and celebration of the Liturgy. The ministry is open to girls and boys in grades 5 through 12 who either attend a Catholic school or are enrolled in Religious Education classes. • Linens - The special responsibility of members of this ministry is to care for the linens used during our liturgies. Altar cloths, purificators, towels and vestments are laundered, ironed and stored as necessary so that the "Lord's Table" is always fittingly set. If you are interested in helping with this ministry contact Polly Toohey at (818) 991-3915 x110 or polly@stmaxchurch.org
  • Art and Environment - The Liturgical Arts & Environment Committee's function is to create and maintain an appropriate, respectful and prayerful environment in the Narthex, Sanctuary and the Immaculata Chapel. Members of the LAEC work behind the scenes to prepare the worship space to reflect the changing seasons of the liturgical year that helps to visually express the words and actions of the liturgy. The committee members understand the significance of environment and how it calls us to prayer. The LAEC meets periodically throughout the year to plan the decor for Advent, Ordinary Time, Christmas, Lent, the Triduum, Easter and Pentecost. For more information or if you would like to become a member of the LAEC, contact Lisa Capobianco at (818) 991-3915 extension136 or lisa@staxchurch.org.
