Monsignor Paul Albee was welcomed as the new pastor of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church on July 1, 2016.
Msgr. Albee, from Sacramento, CA, was ordained June 16, 1984 upon graduating from St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, CA. Msgr. Albee has worked in numerous parishes in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles since becoming a priest. His first assignment was serving at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Whittier. Then he served at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Lakewood for three years.
After his time at St. Pancratius, Msgr. Albee worked for the Archdiocese on the staff of the Metropolitan Tribunal. He then returned to parish life as associate pastor of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Simi Valley for seven years. He worked at St. Jude the Apostle in Westlake village for a year, then as administrator of financial affairs at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fillmore. He served six months as associate pastor at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Encino and eighteen months as pastor at Nativity Catholic Church in Torrance.
Msgr. Albee then spent five years as priest secretary to Cardinal Roger Mahony at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles before returning to parish life as temporary pastor at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Winnetka. He then became pastor at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Moorpark where he spent eleven years prior to taking over as pastor at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
